Casa Madera at 1 Hotel Toronto, will offer an elevated Coastal Cuisine, and organic take on traditional Mexican cuisine, in a sophisticated setting designed by David Rockwell. Casa Madera at 1 Hotel Toronto, will offer an elevated Coastal Cuisine, and organic take on traditional Mexican cuisine, in a sophisticated setting. Casa Madera will showcase unique interpretations of Mexican food and cocktails served for dinner and weekend brunch. The food at Casa Madera will be complemented by an organic, ingredient-driven drinks list that is typical of Beverage Director Charity Johnston’s “farm-to-glass” mixology program. This inventive approach to cocktails will see the bar team showcase individual flavors such as turmeric, chile de arbol, guajillomango, guava, prickly pear, butterfly pea flower tea, yuzu and tamarind, enhanced by an extensive collection of premium mezcals and tequilas. 

We’re looking for someone who’s energetic, extremely hands-on, and can multitask with the best of them, a people magnet, a genius at anticipating obstacles and finding quick solutions. Most important, someone who believes in cultivating an environment where leadership and team development go hand-in-hand and ensuring that all of our guests have a memorable, delicious and joyful experience, every time they visit. Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Passionate about food & beverage and a minimum of 4 years of similar work experience.
  • A post-secondary diploma or degree would be an asset.
  • An expert in food & beverage restaurant operations, a strong leader and a proven track record in guest and team member engagement and financial performance.
  • Excels at communication, both verbal and written.
  • Is flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
