The ambitious property will be the first Chinese development for the brand, developed in partnership with Sunshine Insurance Group and designed by Oval Partnership. The hotel will feature 294 guestrooms and suites, 1 Hotels signature organic spa and expansive fitness center and pool. 

An on-site farm will be run and managed by the property, providing fresh and organic fruits and vegetables for the 15,000 square feet of signature restaurants and lounges, and more than 6,000 square feet of catering and meeting rooms.

Job Summary:

Responsible in achieving the room and catering sales objectives of the hotel.

Assists the Director of Sales & Marketing and Director of Sales in the development of Sales & Marketing plan and in budget preparation.

Represents and promotes the hotel by maintaining constant contact with the market and the customer base locally and internationally through Customer Relationship Management.

Supervisors the Sales & Marketing department to ensure all daily tasks are completed in a timely fashion.

To act as the deputy of the Director of Sales in his/her absence.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assists in the planning and development of marketing strategies and promotion plans.

Assists in the development and implementation of the Sales and Marketing plan.

Monitors and evaluates contemporary sales and marketing initiatives and trends.

Conducts market research.

Reports on the effectiveness of Sales and Marketing programs.

Assists in setting up systems to monitor achievement of departmental goals and objectives.

Manages & assists in strategic department planning and development.

Institutes suitable process to allow for efficient and effective utilization of departmental resources.

Assists in developing procedures for implementation and monitoring of reporting systems.

Ensures compliance with business operations laws.

Ensures compliance with hospitality operations laws.

Accesses and analyzes sales and marketing data.

Assists and supervises in the execution of sales and marketing plan.

Assists in the development of new products and services.

Assists and supervises the development of marketing strategies.

Promotes products and services.

Evaluates sales and marketing programs and strategies.

Manages staff performance and quality improvement.

Considers economic, political and social issues relevant to the department.

Considers tourism issues relevant to the hotel.

Coordinates and manages work and daily operation within the department.

Manages industrial relations. Prevents and resolves grievances.

Staff Management. Facilitates multi-skills.

Manages guest services.

Manages the sales and promotions of products and services.

Maintains computer systems.

Maintains a safe and secure working environment.

Develops communication/administration systems and procedures.

Maintains and implements effective interpersonal skills.

Abides by both the hotel and SH group policies and procedures.

Represents the hotel and participates in domestic and international sales activities.

Job Knowledge / Skill:

Leadership skills and knowledge of all tasks within the area of responsibility.

Knowledge and experience in Internet and other major computer programs.

Ability to use Sales and Front Office computer systems.

Knowledge in Corporate, Leisure, MICE and Catering.

Ability and understanding of the market and competition.

Additional Skill required:

Excellent written and spoken Mandarin & English are a must.

Good computer skills with minimum requirement in use of Microsoft Windows XP or higher, Microsoft Office 2000 or higher, Internet and other popular software.

Good interpersonal & communication skills.

Ability to work independently and under pressure
