That means hiring leaders for our Banquet Teams who have shown themselves to be the very best in their fields, inspiring staff on the daily and leading by example, collaborating on each new project to inspire and assist in executing events that leave our guests feeling in awe of their surroundings.  We’re currently searching for a seasoned and imaginative Banquet Captain to support the management and the front and heart-of-house teams at our 1 Hotel South Beach.  The Banquet Captain will oversee all aspects of the banquet events, including  reviewing BEO's and executing a perfect set-up and (and break down) of each event,  training new team members and elevating service standards at every turn, actively participating in day-to-day operations, upholding the service standards to the highest level...and everything in between, up to the very last goodbye. 

Inside Tip: If you have banquet experience and an impeccable flair for pairing wine, food, and stay current on event trends, you may be just the person we're looking for.  

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Passionate about banquets and growing in the Banquet department with a minimum of 1 year of similar work experience.
  • A post-secondary diploma or degree would be a plus.
  • Experience in banquet operations, a team player, natural leader, hard worker, and detail oriented.
  • Is flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
